How does the chemicals in food affect various blood types?
What other role does blood play in our body besides replenishing the heart and lubricating the veins?  According to the philosophy of the Blood Type Diet Guru, Dr. DAdamo, it is said to be a hidden control monitor for the immune and digestive systems.  And, that the best possible balances for these two major systems in the body depend on the state of ones red and white blood cells.
Extensive information on Blood Types, can be found in Dr. Peter J. D'Adamos's books entitled "Eat Right 4 your Type""Live Right 4 Your Type" and a series of other titles.
Mind you, this is not a sales pitch for Blood Type Diets. But if you have time to play around on the net a bit, please join me for some food for thought.

What is the significance of Blood types?  Scientifically speaking, the theory is that each blood type is named based on its biochemical differences.  Antigens found in cells are chemical markers.  Each blood type has a specific antigen with its own special chemical structure.
How does food affect the antigen structure of blood cells?  As the theory continues, foods are said to have lectins which are in essence diverse proteins with gluing or sticking properties.  When we consume food, a chemical reaction occurs between our blood and the food.  When we eat a food containing protein lectins that are incompatible with our blood type antigen, the lectins target an organ and begin a process of gluing. This gluing or gumming up interferes with digestion, insulin production, food metabolism and hormonal balance.
The bottom line being... individual blood types are said to be the blue print of the body and whatever is ingested can either compliment or antagonize a persons physical health.
I have always thought that most physical conditions of our times are based on diet.  I believe that everyone is predisposed to certain strengths and weaknesses according to their blood types and; that a persons physical strengths can be maximized, just as weaknesses minimized, by knowing what may be best for their body.  I have O positive type blood, and have been eating according to the O diet for a number of years.  My physical condition as changed for the better in that  I am inspired to share this topic with you.

THERE IS A NEW NUTRITIONAL REGIME OUT THAT FOCUSES ON EATING ACCORDING TO BLOOD TYPE.  THE PREMISE IS THAT IF YOU EAT ACCORDING TO YOUR BLOOD TYPE YOU WILL BE A HEALTHER PERSON.
